Creme Brulee
Mom said I should take pictures for food magazines. I'm not sure about that, but it's fun to think about. This was dessert after an amazing lunch of two different preparations of grilled lamb at a restaurant named Troia near Waterloo station.
Cathedral in Gent
We were walking around Gent trying to find some place to eat dinner and went around this cathedral at least twice. We ended up eating and drinking at an Irish pub and then moving on to the Delirium Pub for midnight. There was much drinking and many happy people involved, as well as one very drunk, very loud, very generous Belgian man who kept yelling at us in Dutch about Belgian politics and buying us drinks. All in all, a very good night.
I went to Europe for two weeks
and all you get is this lousy blog post.
I forgot to write anything. Actually, that's a lie. I didn't forget, I just didn't. Mostly because for almost the entire time I was internet-less and I was savoring it a little bit. This was a novel concept, being without the giant hive mind for weeks at a time. I didn't miss it. There's nothing on here that I need on a daily basis except email and even that can wait for long stretches of time.
I did write up a summary of what we did up to a certain date, but it's long and boring so I'm not going to post it. Instead, I'm going to pick a few photos that I uploaded when I did have net access and post those. Enjoy!
Europe? Really?
Well, the time is almost here. Tomorrow at this time we'll be on our way to the next grand adventure. I'm sure it'll be a grand time, even with the possible freaking out and the airplane sliding off the end of the runway and other events that probably won't happen. I'm going to try to post every day, whether it's just a picture or a full writeup of the day. Follow us here and at ephrog.com for K's point of view.
